Attar Personalizer App
The physical object chosen was Attar (or Ittar), an alcohol-free, oil-based perfume rooted in Middle Eastern and South Asian culture.
The digital concept allows the user to personalize their own Attar blend in an interactive app. Users start with an empty vial and build their own scent by selecting from three ingredient categories: Floral, Spice, and Wood — each with adjustable sliders to control the concentration of individual notes. Since a screen can't convey smell, competing sensory descriptors at the bottom of the app (Spicy ↔ Sweet, Cool ↔ Warm, Floral ↔ Woody) visualise the balance of the blend instead.
The final mockup features a carved-wood visual language with iconography designed in Illustrator, a clear navigation bar, and familiar UX conventions like a 3-dot settings menu to keep the interface intuitive.
